About Us

Anne Carlson MT-BC started composing her musical story in the Northshore School District band program at Leota Jr. High School in Woodinville. From the start, supportive teachers encouraged self-motivation and investing in her future through music.

While attending Woodinville High School Ms. Carlson competed in all levels of solo, state, and regional events and is connected to the values and expectations of young musicians in Washington State. Local band opportunities, Jazz Bands, Symphonies, and private lessons created a place to flourish and thrive.

Anne Carlson MT-BC is committed to continuing this tradition of local excellence. She is an active member of the Washington State Music Educators Association and National Music Educator Association as well as a practicing Board Certified Music Therapist.

Anne Carlson MT-BC continued to compose her musical story by earning a BFA in Music from Lewis and Clark College, Portland OR. Her approach to music has been that success comes through positive, personalized, and professional education. This led to the pursuit of a Music Therapy Degree at Marylhurst University and a Neurological Music Therapy Fellowship through Colorado State University.

Her approach to students and how each person learns and thrives blends local roots with experience, the joy of playing flute and saxophone, and music therapy expertise to craft and achieve goals.
